An evaporative cooler float is generally found on the bottom of the swamp cooler.
When the water in the bottom of the swamp cooler reaches a certain level, the float rises on top of the water and shuts off the water supply valves.
If this float stops working, the swamp cooler may not work or may overflow.

Reservoirs
A Cleveland Valve float valve is mounted on the tank or reservoir inlet, below or above the requested water level.
Our valves work with water pressure and have an operating range of 5-110 psi with flow rates up to 250 GPM (88 GPM at 60 PSI).
The valve design provides for POSITIVE SHUTOFF eliminating chatter, water hammer and blow by. With only a 2 1/2″ float needed to shut the 1 1/2″ NPT valve off, bulky 8″, 10″ or 12″ floats are eliminated.
It opens when the float descends, due to a drop in water level. The difference between maximum and minimum levels is adjustable and is affected by the length of the float pilot arm. Car Wash
